    ...
Design a one-day lesson featuring literacy activities appropriate for learning your content. The lesson must show your ability to differentiate for process and product including an assessment component (exit slip, quiz, performance task, homework, etc.). Use the UNH lesson plan with an emphasis on differentiating a key literacy strategy (strategies) WITHIN that one class period. Be sure to have a clear rationale for the ways in which you have planned the differentiated lesson including any grouping arrangements, the tiered activities, and/or assessments. The lesson design must show your understanding of ways to support a range of learners who must master the same content knowledge. You may base this lesson on one you have done in another course as long as you incorporate an effective literacy component.
PURPOSE: To craft a one-day, tiered lesson to address a diverse student population who must master the same content.
DUE DATE: Class session 12Post to the wiki and present as an Ignite talk in the last class.
    WHAT YOU MUST DO
    1. Focus on one lesson that is part of a “unit of study” of your choosing.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO
    ...
    will have 2010 MINUTES to
    1. Model explicit teaching using easily accessible text. Explain the thinking skills being tapped as you teach. YOU MUST TEACH THE GROUP, NOT LECTURE ABOUT THE STRATEGY.
    2. Engage the class in guided practice using content-‐appropriate materials.
